With the mySinusitisCoach, developed by EUFOREA, you can gain insight into your symptoms of chronic sinusitis and your drug use. In addition, the app also has an information section for the patient where independent and reliable information about sinusitis, treatment options and sinus surgery can be found. The app is easy to use and combines functionality with good scientific support. The app was developed by a team of international doctors in the field of chronic respiratory problems (nose and sinuses). Weekly, you indicate how many complaints you have by using a validated measurement method. You do this by tapping a line for each of your complaints. You can also enter which medication you currently use. Select the medication you use simply from a medication list and keep it in your profile. New medication can be added to your profile and your use and complaints can be customized.

Keeping your complaints and medication shows you how well your treatment works. You get more insight into any patterns, you can improve communication with your doctor or pharmacist and gain more control over your complaints.
Your results will be displayed in clear graphs so you can see the progress of your complaints in days, months or years. The medication you used one day can see if you touch the chart on a particular day. The diary has a reminder function that you can use. This helps remind you to score your complaints or take your medication.

If your complaints are unchecked for more than a month, you will receive a message to consult a physician. The app also contains a localization feature. This will be able to compare your symptom score in the future with people in your region. You can therefore warn you if a specific allergen (tree pollen or grass pollen) is prevented in your region or when there is increased air pollution.

Chronic rhinosinusitis (or short chronic sinusitis) is a condition affecting around 10% of the population worldwide. It often impedes social life, work or performance at school. EUFOREA (European forum for research and eduction in allergy and respiratory tract disorders) was established to inform patients better about their condition and to let them think of themselves to set up appropriate treatment. In addition, EUFOREA also has a series of research activities to gain insight into the prevention and new treatment strategies for allergy and respiratory disease.
If you choose to register your app, your anonymous / coded data will be used by EUFOREA to gain insights into the experiences of patients with chronic sinusitis, the effect on asthma and the work environment and the effectiveness of current treatments.
